La Roux’s “In For The Kill” has swept an eager nation of new age music lovers by storm. With the release (supposedly) of Mr. West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy slated for November 22nd, we felt it was only right to take a slight trip down the College Dropout lane before adhering to what’s ahead. Ye did remarkable work when he debuted his first album. Every track was a seed of growth in hip-hop, college lifestyles, and fashion. He was the beginning. Now, through many trials and tribulations, he’s gotten his act together and is working on what has been said to be his greatest album yet. The latest news surrounding the release pertains to the folks on board. The list has grown, now including M.I.A., Santigold, of course CuDi, Alicia Keys, La Roux and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. We shall see.

Music general has stayed true to his word with releasing new music every Friday which has led some to speculate the outcome of his forthcoming album. According to Rap-Up Magazine , Ye will be releasing the album around Black Friday. Go figure. One of the most profitable holidays will involve what we’ve all been waiting for. With an upcoming video for Runaway, the album on the way, and a brand new attitude, Kanye may just be back to his old College Dropout self.

Pusha T introduces a new track entitled “See About Us,” which is pretty self explanatory given the nature of the current movement. In the middle of NYC Fashion Week and a breathtaking performance at the MTV VMA’s, Mr. West releases some solid words for his upcoming Runaway film that he’s been secretly working on:

“I’m color-correcting this film I shot in Prague a couple weeks ago. I want to edit the film on a boat. Where are the good editing boats? It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world. I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

Sticking to his word, Ye bounces from remixing a Justin Beiber track with Raekwon to releasing Devil In A New Dress for his weekly G.O.O.D. Music Friday’s. The new track is reminiscent of Kanye at a time when, well .. Ye was givin’ us that feel good music(no pun intended).
