It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.

How heavy did the drug use get?

I started doing cocaine to get through interviews, ’cause people wanted to know a lot about my personal life and I wasn’t prepared for a 60 Minutes interview every time. Doing bumps I was able to get through the day, but then I would smoke weed to calm me down—it was the only way I could get through the day without people noticing I was doing it.
Did you ever feel like you had a problem?

Kid Cudi: I never thought it was a problem, but I was definitely high-fiving death a couple of times. It took a lot for me to talk about shit like this on the album. I don’t feel like I need to explain myself to anyone besides the fans. My fans don’t believe shit until they hear me say it. And those are true Kid Cudi fans. I want them to know the story.

CULTURE FLASHBACK: JOHNY QUEST (1964)

If any one of you can remember how awesome of a show the original Johny Quest was then you know how critical a cartoon of this stature was to pop culture. The show was based around a young boy that solved action-packed thrillers with the help of his father, his friend Haji, his dog Bandit, and his father’s friend Ace. Nowadays the young minds are centered around vampires, drama, and negativity. The show taught that a young mind could be adventurous, creative, and freely expressive. Johny was a handful but there was a lot of positive messages involved in his upbringing on the show. Enjoy.

CULTURE SHOCK: THUNDERCATS (90′S)

The 90’s were a great time of originating pop culture. One of the iconic television shows that developed timeless characters in the childhood of 80’s babies worldwide was the introduction of Thundercats. Lion-O and his crew of feline warriors fought the evils that periled amongst there world. Shows such as this taught unity, developed creativity, and were innocently fun to incorporate into your life. Will there be a Thundercats film? Who will play your favorite characters? Who will hold down Thundera??? I just thought I’d put the bug in your ear. Carry on.

CLASSICS: VOLTRON (OPENER)

We’ve taken a few trips down memory lane and what we’ve come up with are some of the greatest classics of 80’s and early 90’s. One particular classic, the outer space, robotic adventures of Voltron, have passed our way and we felt it was a good idea to revive the spirit of the popular series. Besides the fact that a film is possibly in the works, the show was a glimmer of fantasy stapled in the culture of sci-fi and pop.
